Ealing Food Partnership

Tackling Food Waste for a Sustainable Future

Who Are We?

At the Ealing Food Partnership, we are a dedicated group of individuals and organisations committed to tackling food insecurity and promoting sustainability within the borough of Ealing. With a shared passion for community well-being, we collaborate to ensure that everyone has access to nutritious and affordable food, whilst also minimising our environmental impact.

Our Aim

  1. Supporting Ealing residents in identifying free/ low-cost/ locally sourced food:
We strive to ensure that all residents can access affordable and nutritious food options within the borough.
  2. Ensuring best practice across food services in Ealing:
We promote sustainable practices, including reducing food waste and distributing surplus food to those in need. By implementing best practice, we contribute to a more sustainable and responsible food system.
  3. Providing wrap-around support for residents who enter emergency food services:
We aim to prioritise a money-first approach, ensuring that individuals who require emergency food assistance also receive additional support to address the underlying causes of food insecurity.
  4. Ensuring access to healthy and nutritious food:
We work towards creating a food environment that supports the health and well-being of Ealing residents, with a focus on providing access to nutritious and diverse food options.

How Do We Achieve Our Goals?

We bring our community together through consistent collaboration and engagement:

  • Regular Network Gatherings:: We host regular meetings and events where partners share updates, explore opportunities, and strengthen connections. These sessions create space for meaningful dialogue and collaborative action planning.

  • Steering group meetings:: Every six weeks, our partners meet to align strategies and develop joint initiatives. These focused meetings ensure that our collective work creates maximum impact for our community.
